Party Time

So we had a busy weekend, to say the least! Friday night was Halloween (see post) and Saturday night we began Tristan's birthday festivities!

His Aunt Lizzie (Victor's cousin) came down from Dallas to help celebrate his birthday and made him a special space-themed birthday cake. She has been taking cake baking/decorating lessons and was really excited to make his cake. Since we were not allowed to bring in outside food to the Children's Museum, where we were having his kid party on Sunday, Victor's Mom invited a few family friends and my parents over for a little celebration and of course, to eat the cake! Tristan had a great time playing with the other kids and opening some gifts too. Although, I think his favorite part was when everyone sang him happy birthday. It was so cute because as soon as everyone started singing and looking at him he got the biggest grin across his face and started laughing and clapping. It's so funny how he knew everyone was singing to him.

Partying so hard pooped Parker out!

On Sunday we had Tristan's birthday party at the Children's Museum and invited all his little friends. I am so happy we had the party there because it was a trillion times easier than having it at the house (like last year). All I had to do was book the party, get some balloons and party favors and they did the rest. That's right, no cleaning the house prior to the party, setting up, buying and making food, getting a cake, hosting, and then cleaning the house again afterwards. Definitely worth the money you pay to have it there...best of all, I got to enjoy the party relatively stress-free!

The party room is right by the space area of the museum so I thought it would be cute to do a space theme. I found some really cute space balloons and spaceship party favor boxes and the museum got a space cake. The kids got to play in the museum and then we had to get them all back in the party room...easier said then done! After finally rounding them up and a few screams and tears we got everybody to eat and sing happy birthday, which Tristan loved again.

We opted not to open presents there since it was hard enough to get a bunch a 2 year olds still for the short amount we had already done, so we brought them home and opened them there. Tristan got a ton of great stuff...too bad his birthday is so close to Christmas time because I am sure he will get more stuff and then have to wait all the way until November of next year! Thanks to everyone for his birthday wishes, coming to his parties and his great gifts!!!

I posted a bunch of pictures so make sure to keep scrolling down!
