Little Christmas

This past weekend we celebrated "Little Christmas", also known as the "Day of the Three Kings" or Epiphany , with Victor's mom. This was the first year for Tristan to celebrate this holiday since he was so little last year.

On the night of December 5th I took Tristan over to Mildred's house so that he could complete his "preparations" to celebrate Little Christmas. As tradition goes, January 6th is the last day of the 12 days of Christmas, with the 12 days actually beginning on Christmas day. In order to celebrate the three kings arrival kids fill a shoebox full of grass for the wise men's camels and the wise men leave a gift in return. Tristan filled his shoebox full and even filled one for Parker and then put them under Mildred's Christmas tree.

On Sunday, the 6th, Victor, Tristan and I went with Mildred to a festival in downtown San Antonio to celebrate the day. There was live music, a short skit and an appearance by the three kings themselves. We had a really great time and Tristan got all sorts of attention...mostly because during the music performance he went in the middle of the floor and started dancing and continued on the entire time. What a little showoff!

Afterwards we all went to the Rainforest Cafe to eat and check out the animals (fake of course).

Christmas 2007

Since I am so late in finally posting our pics from Christmas I will keep it short and to the point! We had a wonderful Christmas and were so happy that our families were able to spend it with us. Each year keeps getting better and better. Last year was the first Christmas Victor and I were able to spend with Tristan so that made it pretty memorable, but then along came this year. Tristan is at an age where he is so energetic and entertaining that we had a great time watching him dance to music, play with his relatives and open gifts.

Each year keeps getting better and next year Tristan will be 2 years old and Parker will be here for Christmas. Ooppps...I guess I haven't mentioned yet that we decided on a name for the new baby. Well, now you know, his full name will be Parker James Kadish. I am pretty confident inour name choice, so much so that I already had his stocking monogrammed. If you look closely in some of the pictures below you might be able to catch a glimpse!
